Using the tools
Use StarkPDF only with files you have the right to change. Unlock works only with a password you already know; it never tries to guess passwords.
Signatures
Signatures placed with StarkPDF are visual signatures: an image of your signature on the page. They are not certified electronic signatures under India’s Information Technology Act, 2000 or similar laws elsewhere. Whether a visual signature is accepted depends on the document and on the other party’s consent. Some documents cannot be signed electronically at all, including wills, trust deeds, most powers of attorney and contracts for the sale of immovable property (Schedule I of the IT Act).
No warranty
The tools are provided as they are. Keep a copy of your original file; we are not responsible for lost or damaged files. Your original file is never changed unless you choose to replace it.
Open-source software
StarkPDF is built on open-source libraries, listed with their licences on the licences page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
